Watch out for this sophisticated delivery scam! 🚨This morning, I received an alarming call from a "FedEx" automated line claiming a package I sent to Iran had been returned. Out of curiosity, I delved deeper – big mistake!The scammer tried to extort ₹10,000 from me as a "guarantee" for redelivery during alleged "wartime" complications. This is a frighteningly clever new tactic with a few red flags:Generic Greeting: Reputable couriers would address you by name.Unsolicited Call: Couriers usually notify via email/text about shipment issues.Focus on Iran: Scammers prey on fears and exploit current events.Urgency Payment: Legitimate companies have established channels for resolving problems, not random deposits. Let's protect ourselves and others:Verify before engaging: Check official courier channels for tracking updates.Never share personal/financial info over unsolicited calls.Report suspicious activity:Alert your bank and report the scam attempt.Please share this post to spread the word!
