Hopefully at least a few of you recognize that line from the movie The Devil Wears Prada, but here on the flower farm we love a good floral no matter the season!! It’s kind of our thing, after all. And nothing says spring wedding *quite* as well as a soft pastel color palette! Check out a few of our recent favorites below!

A Classic Spring Pastel Wedding

April at the Wylder Hotel equals spring wedding perfection!! Crosby and Owen sent over the inspo for their “London Garden Party on the Bay” reception and we were immediately on board. Bright springy flowers with pops of blues and greens went perfectly with all of the seasonal pastels!

From the bridal party bouquets to the groom’s pocket square, and the guests’ outfits, the entire wedding was full of fresh spring style.

We set up their ceremony on the waterfront with two ground arrangements surrounding them during their vows, which were able to be easily repurposed to their sweetheart table in the reception!

Walking into the reception, guests were met with tables of scattered bud vases full of spring pastel florals, and an absolutely gorgeous cake!! We always love coordinating with your baker on cake florals, to make sure it matches your dessert dream.

Spring Florals + Potted Plants

Aaron and Matt’s main floral color palette of navy blue and white florals had the perfect accent color with touches of peach, for their wedding on a gorgeous spring day just around the corner from us at Great Oak Manor!

We loved working with Matt & Aaron (and Casey of Chesapeake Shore Events!) to make their floral dreams come true. Our farm grown tulips and ranunculus were the stars of the arrangements!

But no matter how much we loved their ceremony florals, we were obsessed with their tablescape!! Matt & Aaron had collected vintage books, and requested various plants in all sizes of terracotta pots to be placed on and around them. We also added small vases with tiny blooms, and our mercury glass candles! Mixing cut flowers with potted plants always creates a unique table setting, especially when mixed with a couple’s own eclectic collection.

Sabrina & Robert had such a fun wedding full of friends, family, and lots of laughs! The Cow Barn provided a perfect backdrop to their day, with its rustic charm and elegance. Our spring flowers provided a rainbow of pastels!

You Can’t have Spring without the Rain

Grace came out to visit the farm a few weeks ahead of her wedding, and as usually happens with a visit she fell in love with all of the florals!! She didn’t have too specific of a color palette to start out with, so letting us get creative with anything and everything that’s pretty and in bloom was an easy choice to make.

She brought her own bud vases for us to fill, and a few Ball mason jars for the aisle decor as well. The mason jars were more for the name than the rustic style – since her husband’s last name is Ball they love using them for vases!

Grace and Christopher ended up with rain on their wedding day, but it didn’t hold them back at all from having a beautiful ceremony, or fun pictures with a cute umbrella!

Almost Summer

Ashley + Tyler had a late Spring wedding on her uncle’s waterfront property in Queenstown, Maryland. This time of season has all the best to offer from spring while transitioning into the first blooms of our early summer varieties as well!

We lined her aisle with in-ground florals, a favorite installation of ours! Taking a mallet and some iron rebar, we sink water tubes into the ground then fill them up with florals. This creates the look of a blooming garden path!

Her flower girls added the finishing touches with petals sprinkled down the aisle, and a petal cone toss at the recessional as well.

For Ashley’s tables, she had chosen floral frogs in low dishes, which we created for her on-site! From our farm fresh larkspur and scabiosa to snapdragons, feverfew, and more, the created a light airy tablescape perfect for a spring wedding reception.

Our favorite part of their wedding reception was the unique hanging installation! We created a wooden square wrapped in light greenery, and suspended a rainbow of paper cranes from every side. Swinging in the breeze, it was a beautiful accent for the whole day!
