5 Instant pot Recipes that you just did not know you could actually cook in your instant pot and they would be great!

Ok, so I’m sure you’ve heard about the instant pot craze…and if you haven’t you’ve been living under a rock. If you haven’t gotten yourself an Instant pot, you need to get one ASAP! Seriously, this is the BEST kitchen appliance I have ever bought and I use it at least twice a week. Click here to see the one I recommend. And believe me I’ve had my share of instant pots hehe.

It also has a slow cooker feature so you don’t need your crock pot anymore. Oh, it also has a rice cooker feature, and get this a new AIR Fryer lid that just released so you can AIR fry things in your Instapot!! I know, I was so excited when I saw this I literally squealed with excitement.

Ok.Ok. I had to get that out of my system, lol so we both know that you can cook amazing things in your instant pot like pressure cooking, slow cooking, rice, etc.. but did you know you could cook Frozen Chicken? Yes, you can cook a whole frozen chicken in the instant pot and it will come out just as juicy as if you thawed it. This is the first thing on my 5 instant pot recipes list because I use it all the time!

The only thing you need to do is place about 1 Cup of water in with the frozen chicken you can do a 5lb chicken or 4 breasts then sprinkle your seasonings on your chicken and pour your water around the chicken. Close it and put it on pressure cook for 12 mins and let it naturally release. If you’re in a hurry you can do a quick release but I like the texture of the natural release better. It wasn’t much of a difference though overall. You can check out the recipe card at the end of this post!

Another thing item on this 5 instant pot recipes list you probably didn’t know you could cook was Cheesecake! I know right..cheesecake, my arch nemesis…LOL I don’t know why but cheesecake has always given me problems over the years and I have never gotten a homemade cheesecake recipe just the way I want it. I have resorted to box cheesecakes, but they’re pretty good too.

For this one you need some instapot accessories, don’t worry they won’t cost you an arm and a leg. I got all of these for under $20. And you will use a few of these accessories for more recipes I will mention in this post! For the best Instant pot Cheesecake recipe I could find head on over to our friends’ place curnchycreamysweet.com. You can click on this amazing picture to find the recipe.

Man, that makes my mouth water every single time..Anyways back to the 5 instant pot recipes list. So, the number three thing you can make that you may not have known is Pancakes…Yes..Pancakes. Not your typical huge round pancakes, but more of pancake bites, that are just as yummy and quite convenient for kids to take to school and Bonus…they freeze well!

Remember when I said you would use another accessory, well to make these pancake bites you will be using the egg bite molds. Yes, you can make eggs in the instant pot too! All kinds of eggs! Man this 5 instant pot recipes list is super simple right?

Anyway, all you do is put your pancake batter in the egg molds, make sure to put about 1C water in the bottom. Cover your egg bite molds with aluminum foil and place on your trivet. Cook on high pressure for about 8 mins and let it naturally release for 5mins. You can then quick release any remaining pressure. And Viola! Feel free to add blueberries or whatever to your pancake batter.

The fourth thing on my 5 instant pot recipes list is Chicken Fried Steak!!! I actually have a recipe RIGHT HERE that I posted not that long ago and it has been a Hit with the family! Go check it out, you will be so glad you did.

Ok last but certainly not least on the list is yogurt! Yes, there is actually a button on your Instant pot to cook your own homemade yogurt! This one is the only one I have not tried yet because well, honestly I haven’t thought of it until it’s late and I’m in bed…but I had to include this on my 5 instant pot recipes list for sure!

You know those cravings you get late at night. That’s when I want the yogurt LOL. One of these days I will make it and get to have some late at night! Well here is the recipe for you, it’s Very simple and not many steps involved at all! It does take a long time to make in the instant pot but you can set and forget. If you are in a hurry you can always do a quick release but I have found that when doing meat a natural release is better because it helps with keeping the meat tender and juicy.
